At Newborns in Need, we've done our best to create a web site that anticipates and satisfies our readers' needs. With that goal in mind, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact your local chapter.
Question: What kind of donations do you accept and where do I send them to?
We appreciate all donations of baby related items, and you may send to your nearest chapters. If you have items not appropriate for babies please contact us directly and let us know what you would like to donate. We will sometimes sell non- baby related items to raise money for office supplies, stamps and other emergency baby items, but check with your nearest chapter before shipping directly to them. Any questions, contact our offices for assistance.
Question: Do you only want baby items that people sew, crochet or knit or are items/clothes from the store acceptable?
Answer: We are more than happy to accept items/clothes that have been purchased from a store. We have many volunteers who wish to create items personally, and many who wish to donate store bought items to help our mission. Both items are equally appreciated.
Question: I would like to help by sewing for the babies but need suitable patterns. Where can I find some?
Answer: We have FREE patterns on our website that you can download and use and also 3 marvelous pattern sets designed for creating premature and newborn items. Each pattern set has over 19 patterns and include patterns at all levels of skills and crafts. The patterns are also used as a fundraiser for NIN. Pattern sets are are available for $5.00 each plus $1.50 shipping (total $6.50 each set). More information is available clicking on the following links:
