Babies are not able to regulate their body heat like their older siblings so they need extra help to fight the wintry weather. Layers are especially important during the day, and at night, they need to stay comfy and warm without multiple layers of blankets that could put their health at risk. The perfect jammies for the newborn is a one piece with a soft cotton cap swaddled in a light weight blanket or layer with a one piece, plus a sleeveless sleep sack and forget the blanket!
Annual Sleeper Drive
During the months of September and October, Newborns in Need chapters across the country hold their annual sleeper drive to collect new and gently used one-piece rompers, sleepers and sleep sacks to provide mom with help in keeping her tiny newborn warm.
